What Is The Salary Difference Entry in the Salary Slip

It is an entry that is automatically added to the salary slip when a new salary package is created and effective after the first day of the month.

For example, an employee's salary was increased from 800 JOD to 1000 JOD starting from 10-12-2020. The admin will create a new salary package with 1000 JOD basic salary effective on 10-12-2020.

Step 1:

Step 2:

When calculating the salary, the system will add the salary difference entry. This entry is the difference in the salary that the employee was receiving before 10-12-2020.

How does the system calculate the salary difference?

Salary Difference = the new basic salary / 30 * number of days between the new and the previous salary - the previous basic salary / 30 * number of days between the new and the previous salary

1000/30 * 9 - 800/30 * 9 = 60
