Customized Reports Generator

 

We have enhanced the Customized Reports Generator feature on ZenHR, allowing HR admins to “generate customized reports in a more user-friendly way, for one or multi branches in your company.”


This feature allows you to manage and build all your needed reports, filter your data, sort and rename your report columns, and schedule the report to be sent to the relevant teams as needed.

How to Activate This Feature

 

Main Menu à Reports à General Reports à Customized Reports Generator

 

We have redesigned the customized reports list, allowing you to generate and download the needed report(s) without accessing the report template, showing the creator, the creation date, and the last time you generated the report.


  

 

Building a New Report


To build a new report, click the button “Build a New Report,” and the below report builder page will appear.

 

 

To start adding columns, click the category name to show its related columns and select the columns shown in the list on the left side, noting that you can choose columns from different categories.

The selected columns will be added to the report preview table on the right.




The eye icon in the data table allows you to hide and show columns from the exported report, the filter iconhelps you choose the data you want to show, and the sort iconallows you to reorder the columns by dragging and dropping them.

 

Using the Filters


Filters will be changed based on the selected fields. Here are the filter types that you can use:

 

The Date Filter


The date filter allows you to filter the data within a certain timeframe using the following search options: between, equal, greater than, greater than or equal, less than, and less than or equal.  

 

 

 

Exact Match Filter


This filter allows you to find and display information that is an exact match to the specified keywords.

 

 

Exclude Filter


This filter allows you to exclude the selected information from the exported data based on the inserted keyword.

 

 

Contains Filter


This filter allows you to find information based on the added keywords, noting that you can add multiple keywords by clicking the button Enter after each keyword entry.


 

Ordering Columns and Renaming Them


By clicking the actions button above the preview table, you can reorder the columns by dragging and dropping them, and you can rename them by clicking the button Rename. You can then add a new column name which will be shown in the exported report.


 

Exporting data from different branches


A new feature has been added to the new report generator allowing you to export data from multiple branches based on your access permissions, with the ability to show each branch’s details.

 

 

Preview and Save Report


By clicking the button Preview, the system will show you a sample of the exported data before saving the report template.

 

 

By clicking the button Save Report, the below window will appear, which allows you to:

  • Insert the report name in both English and Arabic languages.
  • Select the default language for the exported data.
  • Choose the branches that you would like to use the same template to save the report template in multiple branches.
  • Schedule the report to be sent by email to specific users based on the selected schedule sequence.

 


By clicking the button Save, you will be redirected to the reports list, showing you that the report is under processing, and you will be notified once your report is ready for download.
