Activating the Miscellaneous Requests Feature on ZenHR
This feature allows your employees to request “Miscellaneous Types” of requests through their dashboard. The request will go through the approval cycle based on the customized request types.

How to Activate This Feature
User Menu à System Preferencesà Miscellaneous Types
HR admins can create their own customized types of requests as shown in the below screenshots:
- Click on “Add”.
- Add the request name and description.
- Select whether employees are allowed to request this type or not.
- You can make attachments and notes mandatory for this type of request.
How to Create an Approval Cycle for the Miscellaneous Requests
User Menu à System Preferencesà Approvals
The related approval cycle can be activated through this screen by creating a new Workflow Cycle. In the transaction type, make sure to select the “Miscellaneous Type”.
Employee Miscellaneous Requests
Main Menu à Requests à My Miscellaneous Requests
Employees are allowed to check the status of their old miscellaneous requests and to submit new ones.
By clicking the “Request” button, the below screen will appear allowing the employee to send his/her request to the approvals committee.
Manage Miscellaneous Requests
Main Menu à Requests à Manage Miscellaneous Requests
This screen allows HR admins to check the status of employees’ requests.
How to Approve a Miscellaneous Request
Dashboard à My Approvals
My Approvals page allows the approval committee to take action on their employees’ requests.
