Managing your companies assets on ZenHR
A business asset is an item of value owned by a company. Business assets span many categories. They can be physical, tangible goods, such as vehicles, real estate, computers, office furniture, and other fixtures.

How to add a new asset
User Menu à System Preferencesà Asset
Click Add to add a new asset.
To add a new asset, follow the below steps:
- Choose the owner (Company, Branch...).
- Asset Type (Mobile, Laptop, SIM Card…).
- Asset Name (To better organize your assets assignments, it’s recommended to add the serial number and employee ID to the asset name).
- Description.
- Value of the asset.
- Notes.
- Production Date.
- Expiry Date.
- Attachments.
How to Assign an asset to an employee
Main Menu à Employees à Employees Management
Click add to assign a new asset to the employee.
To assign a new asset to an employee, follow the below steps:
- Choose asset type.
- Choose the asset.
- Enter the holding date.
- Add any notes.
- Enter dropping date – if applicable.
- Add attachments.
- Click create asset assignment.
