Defining a Termination Type on ZenHR

Termination of employment refers to the end of an employee’s employment with a company. An employee may terminate their employment voluntarily, or it could be a decision made by the employer.

To define a termination type on ZenHR, please follow the below steps:

User  Menu à System Preferences à Termination Setup

The termination policy is divided into three pre-defined categories, and a number of termination reasons fall under each category. The termination categories are:

  • End of employment
  • Resignation
  • Retirement

On ZenHR, the three “termination categories” are already pre-defined and cannot be changed. However, ZenHR allows HR admins to create termination reasons associated with each category.

By clicking on the “Add” button, you will be able to define a new termination reason.

SS code (Optional): You can add the termination reason code registered with the Social Security Institution.

How Termination Applies to the Off-Boarding Process

When off-boarding an employee, you can choose “Termination” under the “Category” section.
