Employee Transfer Between Branches


We're excited to announce that we have released a new feature on ZenHR, Employee Transfer Between Branches.

The transfer option will appear on the Transfer Employee page once you finalize the termination procedures from the old branch. On the Transfer Employee page, you can choose which branch would like to transfer the employee to, as well as add new attributes and information related to the transfer.

Transferring Employees

Employee  Employee Management → Employee Profile → Offboarding  Terminate  Transfer 

To transfer an employee, the admin must terminate the employee from the system. The admin must choose the newly added “Transfer”  termination category. Then the Global Super Admins must choose the transfer option on the termination page. 

They must then choose the branch they want to transfer the employee to and whether they want to keep the original hiring date or set a new hiring date. 



The employee information is divided into three sections: Professional Data, Financial Data, and Vacation Types.

The system will inform you if this employee is linked to any pending transactions, employees, and/or approval cycles.

  1. Professional Data: the admin can see the employee’s current professional data, and they can add new data if they’d like to make any changes.



  1. Financial Data/Salary Package: the admin can see the employee’s current financial data, and they can add new data if they’d like to make any changes.

  2. Vacation Types: the admin can see the employee’s current vacation types, and they can add new vacation types if they’d like to make any changes.


Note: The financial, professional, and vacation data must all be added to the new branch before moving the employee. The transfer action is not reversible. 

After the transfer, the employee will be able to log in using the same ZenHR username and password. 

Transferred employees can still view their past transactions on the new branch. However, no action can be taken.
