ZenHR Evaluation Calculations

This document serves as a guide to how ZenHR’s system calculates OKRs, General Factors, and Competencies.

Evaluation Grade Calculation

OKRs

  1. Objective rate = The sum of (KR Rate * KR weight)

→ E.g  = ((2.00*45%) +(3.00*55%)) = 2.55

  1. Objective Achievement (%) =The sum of (KR Rate % * KR Weight)

            → E.g = ((50.00%*45%)+(75.00%*55%)) =63.75%

  1. OKRs Achievement (%) = (Sum (Objective Rate (%) * Objective Weight))* OKRs Weight

            → ((63.75%*70.0%)+(75.00%*20.00%)+(73.75%*10.00%))*50.00% = 33.50%

  1. OKRs Achievement Rate = (Sum (Objective Rate  * Objective Weight))

             ((2.55*70.0%)+(3.00*20.00%)+(2.95*10.00%))= 2.88

General Factors

  1. General Factors Achievement (%) = The sum of (GF Rate * GF Weight) * General Factors Weight

→ E.g  =  ( (25.00% * 15.00%) + (50.00% * 10.00%) + (75.00% * 10.00%) + (100% * 15.00%) + (25.00 %* 20.00%) + (25.00% * 30.00%) ) * 20.00%) = 8.75%

  1. General Factors Achievement Rate = (Sum (GF Rate  * GF Weight))* General Factors Weight

→ E.g    = (1.00 * 15.00%) + (2.00 * 10.00%) + (3.00 * 10.00%) + (4.00 * 15.00%) + (1.00 * 20.00%) + (1.00 * 30.00%) = 1.75

Competencies

  1. Competency Category rate =  Sum of ((Competency Rate/Required Level) * Competency Weight)* Competency Category Weight * Levels

→  E.g  =((⅓ * 50.00%)+(¼*50.00%))*4 = 1.17

  1. Competency Category rate (%) = Sum of (((Competency Rate/Required Revel)*100%) * Competency Weight)

→ E.g = ((33.33% * 50.00%)+(25.00%*50.00%)= 29.17%

  1. Competencies Achievement  (%) = (Sum (Competency Category Rate (%) * Competency Category Weight))* Competencies Weight

→ ((29.17%*50.00%)+(50.00%*275.00%))*30.00% =45.63%

  1. Competencies Achievement Rate = Sum (Competency Category Rate * Competency Category Weight)

 → ((1.17*50.00%)+(11.00*50.00%))= 6.08

Final Result

  • To find the final result as a % = Sum of the “OKRs Achievement %” + “General Factors Achievement %” + “Competencies Achievement %

  • To convert the % to rate out of the scale:

    • Step 1: We see where the “Final Result %” falls on the scale to find the level

    • Step 2: To find the rate out of level, we need to use the following equation
      (( Final result % - Lower boundary) / ((Upper boundary - Lower boundary) )+Level
      * The maximum result (rate) will be the highest level scale plus 0.99.

*The maximum result (%) will be the highest boundary of the highest level.

  • Example :

    • % → Rate Conversion
Step 1: We see where the “92.04” falls on the scale → It falls between “91.00% & 100.00%,” which is level 5 so

      • Level = 5

      • Lower boundary = 91.00%

      • Upper boundary = 100.00%

    • Step 2: To find the rate out of 5, we need to use the following equation
      (( % - Lower boundary) / ((Upper boundary - Lower boundary) )+Level
      (( 92.04% - 91.00%) / ((100.00% - 91.00%)) +5 = 5.12
The maximum result will be the highest level scale plus 0.99.

  • Calculate Final Result based on Achievement filled by manager”

  • An option “Calculate Final Result based on Achievement filled by manager” has been added to the Evaluation template page in the system preferences. When this option is active, the checkbox will appear if the follow-up checkbox is active.

  • If the new option is active, the OKR rate will be based on the manager's follow-up achievements added in the follow-up stage. The results in the performance evaluation stage should be submitted so that the results can be saved.
