How to Access the Roster Shifts Setup Page
To access the Flexible Shifts Setup Page, go to User Menu → System Preferences → Time Setup → Work Shift. Then click on the Roster Shifts tab.
Creating New Roster Shifts
On the Roster Shifts tab, click the “+ Add Roster Shift “button located at the top right of the page.
A form will appear for adding the new roster shift. Fill in the following details:
Name: Enter a name for the shift (e.g., "Night Shift").
Start time: Select the start time for the shift.
End time: Select the end time for the shift.
Break time: Specify the break time in minutes.
Color: Assign a color to easily identify this shift.
Timing Adjustments:
Grace period for arriving late: Set the grace period for employees arriving late.
Grace period for leaving early: Set the grace period for employees leaving early.
Calculate overtime after: Define how much time an employee must work beyond their shift before overtime calculations begin.
Deduct the grace period from lateness/tardiness calculations: Toggle this option if applicable.
Apply overtime calculation on roster shifts during holidays: Toggle this option if applicable.
Add functions related to the shift if applicable (e.g., a specific task or role during the shift).
Add exceptions for specific working days if necessary.
Add exceptions for calculating overtime on certain days or under specific conditions.
Once all fields are filled, click “Save”.
Managing Roster Shifts
In the Roster Shifts tab, you can view all your created shifts, including the number of employees assigned, the shift timings, and the days off.
To edit or delete an existing shift, under the Actions column, click on view or the edit, delete icons next to each shift.
